Pets2Vets Helping Heal the Lives of Our Nations Heroes and Sheltered Pets

Programs

P2V provides two formal programmatic options: P2V Matches, our adoption program, and P2V Connections, our animal-wounded warrior socialization and visitation program.  Service is currently limited to active duty military personnel, veterans and emergency first responders, or spouses and survived.  Special considerations will be made for other family members, next of kin and companions on a case by case basis.  We currently operate in the Washington, D.C. metro area, working with military medical centers, active duty facilities and emergency first responder facilities in the area.

With the support of P2V’s participating shelters and partnership with Banfield Pet Hospital (America’s largest veterinary hospital; 750 locations nationwide), P2V is able to provide the following:

  1. Adoption of a loving companion animal for P2V Heroes without paying an adoption fee;
  2. Provide cost-effective health care for each P2V Hero’s pet – only paying $300 per year (for a list of what the P2V-Banfield plans cover click here);
  3. Including but not limited to a P2V Start-Up Kit (leash, collar, food-water bowls and crate) valued between $60 and $130 depending on the size of the animal.
