Orlando and the Grays

Congratulations to Specialist Gray, his wife, his son and Orlando!

Specialist Gray is a Vietnam Combat Veteran who has been diagnosed with Depression by the Washington, D.C. Veterans Affairs Hospital.  He often remembers his experiences in Vietnam including missing his loved ones and watching too many of his friends give the ultimate sacrifice.

Orlando is a four month old Dachshund/ Hound mix puppy that came to The Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL) from another shelter in Virginia through the PetSmart Rescue Waggin’. Orlando is very food motivated and very social. He’s really tolerant of handling and loves to play with toys.

Specialist Gray says: “My wife, my son and I love this little guy! He’s so fun and helps put my mind at ease from thinking about what happened to me in Vietnam.”
